[McIDAS #GKF-870665]: mcidas2007 and 64 bit linux

re: gcc and g77 versions being used

So, the OS, gcc, and g77 you are using are identical to the ones being used
on livos.  This seems to only leave the X development environment as a
potential problem.

Any chance I could get a logon to your machine (SSH, of course) as the
user 'mcidas'?
