Hi Samuel, re: > Due to traffic issues where idd.cise-nsf.gov isn't routing traffic to us > thru I2, I removed the entry: > request WMO ".*" idd.cise-nsf.gov Traffic from idd.cise-nsf.gov being routed over I1 is totally unexpected. We will need to identify another feed host for the WMO data since it is the source of the model output that gets processed by the McIDAS-XCD GRIB filer. re: SSH access to shu Thanks for getting this setup! We _never_ use telnet since it sends information in clear text. I setup the 'mcidas' and 'ldm' accounts to allow me to automatically login with SSH: - created the ~/.ssh subdirectory with 755 permissions - created the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys files with my key from laraine.unidata.ucar.edu and set the permissions to 600 - changed the permissions on the HOME directory in each account to remove group/world write privilege Back to the setup issues on shu... I see that you are editing ~ldm/etc/ldmd.conf: [ldm@shu etc]$ w 09:37:47 up 9 days, 17:37, 6 users, load average: 1.02, 1.00, 1.14 USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT zehel pts/0 ebe271-02 Wed 4pm 1:33m 0.26s 0.02s login -h ebe271-02 -p mcidas pts/2 ebe271-02 Wed 8am 47:46 0.12s 0.12s -bash ldm pts/3 ebe271-02 Wed 9am 17:30m 8:31 0.01s login -h ebe271-02 -p ldm pts/4 ebe271-02 Wed 9am 29:13 0.17s 0.02s login -h ebe271-02 -p ldm pts/6 ebe271-02 Wed 9am 24:04m 0.05s 0.05s -bash ldm pts/5 laraine.unidata. 9:05am 0.00s 0.03s 0.01s w [ldm@shu etc]$ ps -eaf | grep vim ldm 1088 26509 0 09:06 pts/4 00:00:00 vim etc/ldmd.conf When you get out of the file, I will be able to do some reconfigurations to make your ingest more efficient. After that, I will take a look to see why ADDE serving is not working (or, at least, it wasn't working yesterday; I havn't tried it today).
