Hi Hsie, re: > stratus:[98]% dsinfo.k LIST RTGRIBS > dsinfo.k: Invalid data type input: LIST > DSINFO -- done Oops, this should have been: <as 'mcidas'> cd $MCDATA <- Note that you should CD to ~mcidas/solaris/workdata dsinfo.k GRID RTGRIBS > stratus:[99]% dsinfo.k ALL RTGRIBS > No Datasets found of Type: IMAGE in Group: RTGRIBS > No Datasets found of Type: POINT in Group: RTGRIBS > No Datasets found of Type: GRID in Group: RTGRIBS > No Datasets found of Type: TEXT in Group: RTGRIBS > No Datasets found of Type: NAV in Group: RTGRIBS > > I can not see any data? This is _not_ what I get as 'mcidas' on stratus from the $MCDATA directory. I would have thought that the MySQL access would be much faster given how well stratus performs with other ADDE datasets. I think I need to look into this more to make sure that the ADDE GRIB directory server, gribgdir, is really using the MySQL access method (it will drop back to examining every file if the MySQL access is not viable). Finally, I am able to use fields from the RTGRIBS dataset from my machine at home: <at home> DATALOC ADD RTGRIBS stratus.al.noaa.gov GRDLIST RTGRIBS/RUC-ALL NUM=5 Dataset position 1 Directory Title= /MAPS.86.2007250.0.3.211.grib PAR LEVEL DAY TIME SRC FHR FDAY FTIME GRID PRO ---- ---------- ------------ -------- ---- ---- ------------ -------- ----- ---- WP 700 MB 07 SEP 07250 00:00:00 MAPS 3 07 SEP 07250 03:00:00 N/A LAMB WP 300 MB 07 SEP 07250 00:00:00 MAPS 3 07 SEP 07250 03:00:00 N/A LAMB T 900 MB 07 SEP 07250 00:00:00 MAPS 3 07 SEP 07250 03:00:00 N/A LAMB Z 950 MB 07 SEP 07250 00:00:00 MAPS 3 07 SEP 07250 03:00:00 N/A LAMB P SFC 07 SEP 07250 00:00:00 MAPS 3 07 SEP 07250 03:00:00 N/A LAMB Number of grids listed = 5 GRDLIST - done Hmm...
