Hi Gilbert, re: > Trying to plot weather watches on weather.admin from data on my > weather3.admin.niu.edu box yields nothing. And, on weather2, I get nothing > for LOCAL-DATA. > > Hmmm. I was looking around this evening and I couldn't find anything > wrong. Are you getting anything from UNIDATA? I logged onto weather2 a few minutes ago and saw that the files used by the ADDE server for the RTWXTEXT dataset were not being updated. I then noticed that the DMMISC (dmmisc.k) data monitor was continually exiting. Given this I decided to redo the XCD setup for the RTWXTEXT data: <as 'ldm'> ldmadmin stop <as 'mcidas'> cd ~mcidas/workdata rm CIRCUIT.DAT COUNTRY.DAT DECINFO.DAT DECOSTAT.DAT GROUPS.DAT SIGCO.DAT cd /home/data/mcidas rm *.RA* cd ~mcidas/workdata batch.k XCD.BAT decinfo.k LIST <- to insure that the appropriate data monitors were turned on (all except DMGRID, DMBIN, DMNEXR on weather2) <as 'ldm'> ldmadmin start After doing the above, the data monitor DMMISC appears to be running correctly. We should be able to tell if the weather watch box data is correctly being processed by XCD as the day progresses. I also logged onto weather3 to check to see if its XCD data monitors were running, and they were. I am now seeing if a weather watch plot works using weather3 as the ADDE server. Hmm, it is not. So, I did the same sequence on weather3 as I did on weather2 with the exception of turning on the DMGRID data monitor (since it was on when I logged on). Again, we should know if these changes worked as the day progresses. > ******************************************************************************* > Gilbert Sebenste ******** > (My opinions only!) ****** > Staff Meteorologist, Northern Illinois University **** > E-mail: address@hidden *** > web: http://weather.admin.niu.edu ** > ******************************************************************************* > > Cheers, Tom **************************************************************************** Unidata User Support UCAR Unidata Program (303) 497-8642 P.O.
