I couldn't get a list of stations. >To do this, the IDV sends (essentially) the following command: > >IMGLIST RTNEXRAD/N1P ID=LIST > >I also tried this in McIDAS with similar results (loading >in Level III data from the Unidata GUI). I just ran this command while pointing at adde.ucar.edu (which is now the new version of motherlode even though it shouldn't be yet) from the McIDAS-X v2005 installation on my home machine (FC4 Linux, 32-bit) and got back a listing quickly: IMGLIST RTNEXRAD/N1P ID=LIST Image file directory listing for:RTNEXRAD/N1P Pos Satellite/ Date Time Center Band(s) sensor Lat Lon --- ------------- ------------ -------- ---- ---- ------------ 1 RADAR 23 OCT 05296 16:08:00 HTX 5 2 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 12:51:00 JKL 5 3 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:11:00 MXX 5 4 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:29:00 FCX 5 5 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:37:00 TFX 5 6 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:40:00 RIW 5 7 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:43:00 BHX 5 8 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:43:00 NKX 5 9 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:43:00 BBX 5 10 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:44:00 DAX 5 11 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:44:00 FSX 5 12 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:45:00 PDT 5 13 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:45:00 BLX 5 14 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:45:00 EMX 5 15 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:45:00 INX 5 16 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:46:00 LCH 5 17 RADAR 24 OCT 05297 13:46:00 GJX 5 ... >I tried this from adde.ucar.edu and papagayo with the same >results. I was successful (in IDV and McIDAS) getting this >to work from atm.geo.nsf.gov. I didn't try any others. I got back the following from papagayo: IMGLIST RTNEXRAD/N1P ID=LIST Image file directory listing for:RTNEXRAD/N1P IMGLIST: No images meet the selection criteria IMGLIST: done IMGLIST failed, RC=2 This may be a configuration problem on papagayo; I'll check. >Is this related to the file restructuring for the "new" >motherlode? It might be, or it might be that both adde.ucar.edu and papagayo.unl.edu are now running McIDAS-X v2005. Is it possible that you are requesting a 'compress' compressed transfer (as opposed to gzip compressed) and it is not running correctly on those machines?
