I'd like to see WWDISP, or another program, display the new warning polygons found in tornado, severe thunderstorm, and flash flood warnings from WFO's. They're drwn from lat/lons inserted into the warnings; I'm sure you've seen them. Like this: http://weather.niu.edu/polywarn.png They are experimental for now, but will become official this fall. Any plans to add these to McIDAS? ******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste ******** (My opinions only!) ****** Staff Meteorologist, Northern Illinois University **** E-mail: address@hidden *** web: http://weather.admin.niu.edu ** Work phone: 815-753-5492 * ******************************************************************************* From address@hidden Fri Apr 15 12:28:57 2005 Return-Path: <address@hidden> Received: from weather.admin.niu.edu (weather.admin.niu.edu [131.156.8.47]) by unidata.ucar.edu (UCAR/Unidata) with ESMTP id j3FISvv2001262; Fri, 15 Apr 2005 12:28:57 -0600 (MDT) Organization: UCAR/Unidata Keywords: 200504151828.j3FISvv2001262 Received: from weather.admin.niu.edu (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by weather.admin.niu.edu (8.12.10/8.12.10) with ESMTP id j3FISu0h021214; Fri, 15 Apr 2005 13:28:56 -0500 Received: from localhost (sebenste@localhost) by weather.admin.niu.edu (8.12.10/8.12.10/Submit) with ESMTP id j3FISur7021210; Fri, 15 Apr 2005 13:28:56 -0500 Date: Fri, 15 Apr 2005 13:28:56 -0500 (CDT) From: Gilbert Sebenste <address@hidden> To: Unidata Support <address@hidden> cc: address@hidden Subject: Re: 20050407: WWDISP/WWLIST test fix (cont.) To implement the test fix, please do the following: My email has been having problems, but I think we're fixed now. Did you take care of this after I installed the test script? Also, will the new polygon warnings be incorporated into WWDISP? ******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste ******** (My opinions only!) ****** Staff Meteorologist, Northern Illinois University **** E-mail: address@hidden *** web: http://weather.admin.niu.edu ** Work phone: 815-753-5492 * *******************************************************************************
