McIDAS is the only package supported by Unidata whose distribution is limited by contractual arrangement with its originator (University of Wisconsin-Madison/SSEC). We are allowed to distribute McIDAS to educational institutions worldwide, and to others under very specific circumstances (e.g., collaborations that are mutually beneficial, etc.). I will need to run your request for McIDAS by SSEC for comment. Before doing this, it would be useful to get some references to your origanization so I can send them along to SSEC (please forgive me if you have done this in the past). >Ray Weber >Mass. If you do not want to have your interactions made available in this way, you must let us know in each email you send to us.
