20040810: converting FY2 SV data to McIDAS AREAs

To Mcidas User group,

We are receiving raw data from FY2B.
Are there any utility programs which can convert this raw data into McIDAS AREA format? 
Any information on getting FY2 data into McIDAS would be appreciated.

I think the BoM has software to do this. If not, let me know.
This format is very similar to GMS. We have a small program to convert these files into McIDAS Area. But, the bigger issue is navigation. The navigation parameters are slightly different than the GMS, but they can be reformatted. We received a program from the BoM to modify the navigation parameters. We haven't used this software in several years, ever since we've lost our source of the data.
We are interested in looking at the FY2B data. Could an ADDE server be installed on that machine so we could have remote access?
