Hi Hsie,
>One more question regarding to McIDAS-X 2003 Version. There is a new
>entry (to me) in the /home/mcidas/data/EXAMPLE.NAM file:
>
>" FSUS2* /var/data/ldm/surface/front
>
>What is "FSU2*" ? What does the pqact.conf example look like?
The FSUS2 bulletins are forecast frontal positions. The example
REDIRECTion has been in the EXAMPLE.NAM file for several years.
Note that its inclusion is now commented out (beginning '"'), so
it is not needed. McIDAS serves this data through ADDE through
the RTWXTEXT dataset, and the data that is included in it is
entirely taken care of by the pqact.conf action:
IDS|DDPLUS .* PIPE
xcd_run DDS
You need not worry about FSUS2 bulletins as far as McIDAS is concerned.
Cheers,
Tom
