Trevor,
Previously, you contacted the McIDAS User's Group at SSEC for
assistance on a problem you were having. As a response to your
message, Becky Shaffer replied:
>It sounds like you probably have the Unidata version of McIDAS. I'm

I looked through our licensing records and do not see that Santa Clara
University has every become licensed for Unidata McIDAS. A couple of
questions come to mind:
o is Santa Clara supposed to be licensed for Unidata McIDAS
o where did you get your distribution of McIDAS-X 7.7
Along the lines of your original inquiry:
>> To whom it may concern:

>> My name is Trevor and I am student at Santa Clara University. We have your
>> McIDAS-X version 7.7 software and are trying to use it to determine the

This makes it seem like you got your McIDAS distribution through CSU/CIRA.
Is this true?
>>Our problem right now is that we are unable to

Unidata and Unidata sites maintain ADDE servers on several machines
throughout the continental US. Most, if not all, of these machines
have the textual products that can be accessed through wxtgserv. I can
make the access information for these machines available to you after
we clarify your relationship with the Unidata program as a whole.
