Mike,
>Hi, Tom. Hope all is well.
Things are going pretty well, thanks.
>I'm still having problems with my user account running McIDAS on cyclone (the
>mcidas account works fine.) I can't seem to display any of the imagery. I've

>Could you take a look at it?
I logged in as you on cyclone; cranked up a McIDAS-X session with
display back to my machine here at Unidata; and ran the following from
the McIDAS-X command line with no problems:
IMGDISP RTIMAGES/GW-IR STA=KSLC EU=IMAGE REFRESH='EG;MAP H'
BeginningImage Data transfer, bytes= 310256
IMGDISP:loaded frame 1
EG;MAP H
IMGDISP:done
EU:Restoring IMAGE.ET to frame(s)= 1
EU:Done
Erased graphic frame(s) 1-1
MAP:Completed frame 1
I then brought up the Fkey menu system and displayed the most recent
GOES-East IR image and that worked correctly also:
MCMENU UNIDATA.MNU
EG 11;SF 11;IMGDISP RTIMAGES/GE-IR 11 LATLON=32 82 MAG=-2 EU=IMAGE SF=YES
Erased graphic frame(s) 11-11
Beginning Image Data transfer, bytes= 310256
IMGDISP:loaded frame 11
MAPH VIRT=9001;BAR ORI=VER SU=IRTEMP
IMGDISP:done
EU:Restoring IMAGE.ET to frame(s)= 11
EU:Done
MAP:Completed frame 11
Done
Finally, I exited the Fkey menu system and started the MCGUI and displayed
the latest GOES-West Water Vapor product with no problems:
EG 11 1
Erased graphic frame(s) 11-11
ALOOP 170 179 11 1 EC 32 130 1 1 MAP=YES H 9000 EU=IMAGE.ET SU=H2OTEMP.ST
LIMIT=12 DWELL=3 10 BAR=VER X X X 7 X X X SF=YES
BEGIN TV LOAD PROCESSING FOR FRAME 11
Processing completed for frame= 11
MAP: Completed frame 11
Done
ALOOP: Done
These three small tests seem to indicate that both ADDE and direct
display (pre-ADDE) of at least some of the imagery (I chose the
products above at random) with no problems.
Can you be more specific on exactly what you are trying to do (please
include the command that was being run) and what the error messages are
when you try to do it? Thanks...
>Thanks in advance.
No problem. BTW, email with me tomorrow and Friday will be spotty as
we have a Policy Committee meeting on both days. Please don't hold
back from sending the information requested above, however. I will
need it to troubleshoot as I get time.
