>From: "Leonard J. Peirce" <address@hidden> >Organization: Western Michigan >Keywords: 200007181435.e6IEZAT22632 McIDAS-X -XCD ADDE install Leonard, I returned to trying to test out ADDE on s418. It still doesn't work. In order to try and get things working, I will need to be able to create/modify files and directories under ~mcadde. Is this possible? If not, there is only one possibility left: change the inetd.conf entries to use the 'mcidas' instead of 'mcadde' accounts. This is not the route that should be followed, but if the other options are not allowed (e.g., 'mcadde' having the same HOME directory as 'mcidas':: the BEST solution; me being able to get on s418 as 'mcadde' and create files/directories) this would be the only thing left to try. I would greatly appreciate being able to clear this up soon. I have way too many other things on my "to do" list to continue to peck at this problem piecemeal. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide... Tom
