20000301: McIDAS compressed data transfer problem on IRIX

Seems to me that if the problem was one of Anthony's machine not being
able to find uncompress then his compressed transfers should fail when
talking to any/all servers.  To test this, I suggest that Anthony try a
simple test to our GINI ADDE server:

setenv MCCOMPRESS             (or appropriate ksh or sh syntax)
<start McIDAS-X session>
DATALOC ADD RTGINI ADDE.UNIDATA.UCAR.EDU
DSINFO IMAGE RTGINI
IMGLIST RTGINI/GE1KVIS.ALL
IMGDISP RTGINI/GE1KVIS 1 STA=KHSV EU=IMAGE SF=YES REFRESH='EG;MAP X 5 
COUNTY=ALL ST=AL;MAP H 1 WID=2'

If the problem is on Anthony's IRIX machine, then he should see multiple
failures from the actions above.
