I'm having a problem where the data files created by mcidas on our server are being written with file permissions of 666 instead of 664. This is affecting AREA and GRID files as well as the STRTABLE file. I have manually set the permissions back to 664 but I'd like to know what is causing this. I upgraded mcidas from 7.4 to 7.6 over the Christmas break and everything else _seems_ to be running correctly. I checked to umask in mcidas' .cshrc and .mcenv as well as the ldm's umask and they are all set to 002. I'm not sure what else to check. I didn't see anything in the support achives related to this. Thanks.
