Apparently not.  I just generated a PIX file on a Solaris x86 box and
then tried to view it from a session running on a ULTRA SPARC 2; I
got the error message:

RVF 1 1 TEST.PIX
RVF: Machine architecture incompatible
RVF: File can not be used 

Looks like this is a candidate for some work.
