Check your LDM configuration-file, etc/ldmd.conf, for REQUEST entries to idd.unidata.ucar.edu for feeds that overlap (i.e., that contain the same data-products). Such a redundant request will cause the previous upstream LDM process to terminate, which is what I think is happening.
