Hi Gilbert & Ryan, There's no need to modify pqact(1) in order to efficiently process a compressed data-product into EDEX. This can be handled by piping the data-product to a script (using the "-close" option) that decompresses its standard input on the fly into a file and then notifies EDEX's Qpid that the file is ready to be ingested. We do that here. The script for notifying Qpid is in the AWIPS distribution. Its pathname is "/awips2/ldm/dev/notifyAWIPS2-unidata.py".
