Yes. For some reason, that version of the "git clone" command has permission 
problems.

The latest LDM version uses a different command:

    git clone https://github.com/Unidata/GEMPAK-Tables.git /tmp/gempak-tables

I've also modified the README file at the bottom of the "GEMPAK Tables" GitHub 
page to use this command.
