[LDM #OCY-683651]: pqact crashes

Shoot! I forgot what this thread was about!

I think I have a fix but can't test it here because our LDM-s haven't exhibited 
this problem.

Are you willing to test a new version of the LDM on a non-operational system 
that has exhibited this problem?
