G, > If you accidentally erase pqact.conf by blowing away the /home/ldm/etc > directory, but reinstall LDM with the same version, the old pqact is still > in memory. Is there any way to recover it from memory, or is it lost? I've never done this before, but it appears possible. Google "how to recover deleted but open file on linux". We have our configuration-files under version-control. Tell your friend to think about it. Good luck.
