John, We suspect that your campus network is throttling the connections between our LDM and yours. Over the years, we've determined that the signature of such throttling is that products in a a low-volume feed arrive with little or no latency while those in a high-volume feed arrive with high latency. Consequently, we re-configured the LDM on Mammatus to also request IDS|DDPLUS from iddb.unidata.ucar.edu in order to verify this hypothesis. The latency plots <http://rtstats.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/iddstats_nc?NEXRAD3+mammatus.ttu.edu> and http://rtstats.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/iddstats_nc?IDS|DDPLUS+mammatus.ttu.edu are initially consistent with throttling. We'll need to let it run through another 18Z slowdown, however, in order to be certain.
