I should have been more specific. I was looking for the standard output and
standard error streams of the configure(1) script. If you followed the
installation instructions, then they would be in the file "configure.log" in
the top-level source-directory.
It, nevertheless, appears that the configure(1) script was unable to find the
file "zlib.h", which, according to
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm/ldm-current/basics/platform.html
is necessary in order to build the LDM package.
Do you have that file? If not, then you'll have to install the zlib(3)
*development* package. On a RHEL7 system, the following command -- executed
by root -- should do this:
yum install zlib-devel
