[LDM #QST-811359]: Using pqinsert as daemon

Justin,

I prefer event-driven designs rather than one that rely on poling. Can the 
external process that creates the files in the shared directory launch a 
process that uses pqinsert(1) to add them to the product-queue?

Just my $0.02 worth. (Might be worth less. :-)
