Aditya, The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, has always had the ability to receive such data. All you you have to is install the LDM package on a *.edu host and configure it to request and process the data you want. Information on the LDM can be found at <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm>. Please read and follow the instructions carefully. > Hello, > > My name is Aditya Nagarajan and I am a Graduate student at the University of > Massachusetts Amherst. Our research group in the Electrical and Computer > Engineering department is working on retrieving real time Precipitable Water > Vapor(PWV) measurements from GPS-Met stations similar to the project at UCAR > (http://www.suominet.ucar.edu/index.html > <http://www.suominet.ucar.edu/index.html>). We are currently focused on the > Dallas Fort Worth and nearby areas as our domain and have found 44 GPS > stations to retrieve PWV from. To obtain the final product of PWV we require > surface meteorological observations. We have identified the following ASOS > (Automated Surface Observing Stations) in the DFW area which which provide > realtime meteorological data (pressure, temperature, relative humidity etc.). > We would like to use this real-time observations to produce real time PWV > data which are processed in our servers and make them available online. > > Can you please provide one of the servers at UMASS Amherst a LDM feed of the > WMO files so that we can use the met data to processes for PWV and provide it > online to the public.
