Odd. Those results are inconsistent: the first command shouldn't have printed 
"Problem found" if the second command didn't print "syslog-ng". The first 
command says that "syslog-ng" appears in the output of "ps -e" but the second 
command shows that it doesn't.

What the devil's going on with your grep(1)? Can you play around with it?
