I'll bet I can match you in opportunities. ;-)

Version 6.12.1 of the LDM is available at 
<ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/ldm/ldm-6.12.1.tar.gz>.

It should fix the problem you saw. Please let me know one way or the other.
