Dave, > I copied and pasted the LDM server message above from the Terminal window. I see what happened. The ldmadmin(1) script calls the LDM server (ldmd) with options that cause it to only check the configuration-file and to log to the standard error stream. Apparently, your LDM 6.11 doesn't like its configuration-file. What's the output of the command ldm-6.11.5/bin/regutil | fgrep ldmd.conf executed by the LDM user in their home directory? The only other diagnostic info corresponding to the attempt to start the LDM that I've got comes from the ldmd.log file: > > Jun 20 12:30:22 virga pqcheck[56964] NOT]: Starting Up (56926) > Jun 20 12:30:22 virga pqcheck[56964] NOT]: Exiting The "pqcheck" log messages are from the utility that verifies the product-queue. > (By the way, I added the two lines that you specified yesterday to > /etc/syslog.conf and the LDM is now logging messages to ~/logs instead of > system.log.) > > -- Dave > > ************************************************************ > * Dr. Dave Dempsey | ^ ___ \|/ * > * Dept. of Geosciences | ) ^ /||_||\ --0-- * > * San Francisco State University | ) ) / ||_|| \ /|\ * > * 1600 Holloway Ave. | ) ) / ||_|| \ * > * San Francisco, CA 94132 | ) ) / ||_|| \ ^ * > * | ) ) ) > ||_|| \ * > * Phone: (415) 338-7716 | ) ) )~||~||~~~~ \~~* > * FAX: (415) 338-7705 | ) ) ) ) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~* > * Email: address@hidden | ) ) ) ) ) ~ ~ ~ ~ * > ************************************************************ Regards, Steve Emmerson Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: MSO-599919 Department: Support LDM Priority: Normal Status: Closed
