Pete,

I don't know if it means anything, but the IP addresses for Ncepldm1 and 
Ncepldm4 differ in the second byte (Ncepldm1: 140.90.33.205; Ncepldm4: 
140.172.17.205). The traceroute(1)s from here to them also diverge considerably.
