[LDM #EGB-839160]: DESTDIR fix for RPM

Thanks for sending this in. I'm not an RPM expert.

Shouldn't the setting of the DESTDIR environment variable use %{buildroot} 
rather than $RPM_BUILD_ROOT, however?
