I'm glad to hear that LDM 6.9.8 is working for you because I rushed its release
in order to accommodate the upcoming LDM workshop.
The issue of the LDM and NOAAPORT packages playing together is somewhat
contentious. Because the NOAAPORT package depends so much on the LDM package, I
favor making the NOAAPORT package a subpackage of the LDM (though disabled by
default). Others want them to be less coupled -- something that I think
increases the burden on the developer and is very difficult to get right.
Time will tell.
