A table of supported platforms is at
<http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm/ldm-current/basics/platform.html#development>.

Because the table is updated only when a new release is made,
it tends to be sligntly out-of-date (my development workstation
is Linux 2.6.24, for example).
