Kirk,
> Here are a couple of log entries. The do not say much:
>
> Mar 28 14:30:41 gpsldm suomildm1[25637]: 35374 20080328092551.692
> GPSSRC 000 SA39_UNKNOWN_SA39_1472-5-28800.BNX
>
> Mar 28 14:30:44 gpsldm suomildm1[25637]: 846152 20080328093510.342
> GPSSRC 000 SA39_UNKNOWN_SA39_1472-4.bnx
Those log messages were printed because the downstream LDM was
in verbose logging mode in which it prints most of the metadata
associated with a just-received data-product. Downstream LDM-s
are put into verbose logging mode by starting the top-level LDM
server with the "-v" option or by sending the downstream LDM
process a USR2 signal.

> Note: The second entry seems to violate the pattern twice: 'UNKNOWN' and
> missing '-[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]' before (\.BNX)
>
> NOTE: there is a rule for (.\bnx) as well as (\.BNX).
