[Support #TXN-293177]: LDM 6.6.5: make failure on Intel Mac (OS X 10.5)

Dave,

I'm working on twister.

In your email, you said that the operating system release was 10.5.1.
The "uname" utility, however, says that the release is 9.1.1.

I'm not a Mac expert.  Is this significant?
