Joseph,

The file "install.log" has the following at its top:

cp: cannot stat `libldm.a': No such file or directory
make: [/home/kojo/ldm-6.6.5/lib/libldm.a] Error 1 (ignored)

This is odd for two reasons: 1) the library "libldm.a" was built
correctly according to the file "make.log"; and 2) its non-existance
should have caused the "make" to terminate.  Was the library 
deleted or moved between the "make" and "make install" commands?
If not, then I suspect your "make" utility is broken.  Can you
use a different "make" utility?
