The last messages indicate that an upstream LDM on host Lyndon was
unable to send a data-product -- using the old version 5 of the LDM
protocol -- to a downstream LDM on host 
ls1-jax.jax.noaa.gov due to an I/O error.  The LDM log file on the
downstream host should show the cause of the failure.

I believe that your LDM system is working correctly and that the
downstream site needs to get its act together (so to speak).  They
should be using the LDM 6 protocol rather than LDM 5.  Perhaps they
need to upgrade.  Can you speak with them?
