[LDM #AET-991057]: LDM 6.4.4: upstream connection closed for unknown reason

Hmm...  That's not quite the same thing because the first error when Sun's 
compiler was used was "Bad file number".  The above first error isn't even 
allowed to occur.

I'm still investigating.
