[LDM #LYS-911253]: LDM - up6.c: HEREIS: RPC: Unable to send error

Hmm...  The upstream LDM on Kenobi fails due to a "broken pipe" and the 
downstream LDM on Hera fails because the upstream LDM failed.  Not much useful 
information there.

The cause of the failure must lie below the level of the program -- in the 
operating system or network.
