If the log file indicated that an assertion failure occurred in that file, then assertions were enabled. If I were you, I'd investigate the log file, the file "make.log", and the timestamps of those files, the LDM program, and the "pq.o" object-module in the LDM library. I think assertions were enabled by default in earlier versions of the LDM. > Curious, > > Pete > > +>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>+<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<+ > ^ Pete Pokrandt V 1447 AOSS Bldg 1225 W Dayton St^ > ^ Systems Programmer V Madison, WI 53706 ^ > ^ V address@hidden ^ > ^ Dept of Atmos & Oceanic Sciences V (608) 262-3086 (Phone/voicemail) ^ > ^ University of Wisconsin-Madison V 262-0166 (Fax) ^ > <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<+>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>+ Regards, Steve Emmerson
