Thanks for all your thoughts on this, Sarah Interesting! Thanks for telling me about this. I'd be inclined to set the environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in the profile-file of the LDM user. That way the LDM user wouldn't encounter a futex() problem even if they manually executed LDM programs. Regards, Steve Emmerson
