Good thinking.
I suspect that you weren't using the /usr/ccs/bin/make utility and the
one you were using is broken.

What version of the LDM created the product-queue? If it was version
6.0.15 or earlier, then the product-queue is OK but you'll have to add a
writer-counter by executing the command "pqcheck -F". A subsequent
"pqcheck -v" should then show that the writer-counter is zero.
