The relevant entries in the above are the following:
Jan 14 17:18:22 ds1-avs webdocs[30451]: NOTICE: requester6.c:454;
ldm_clnt.c:286: nullproc_6 failure to webdocs.ensco.com; ldm_clnt.c:142: RPC:
Program/version mismatch; low version = 4, high version = 5
Jan 14 17:18:22 ds1-avs webdocs[30451]: Connected to upstream LDM-5
The first entry indicates that the downstream LDM-6 on host "ds1-avs"
couldn't connect to an upstream LDM-6 on host "webdocs" because that
host was not running an LDM-6.
The second entry indicates that the downstream LDM-6 on host "ds1-avs"
did connect to an upstream LDM-5 on host "webdocs". It will,
consequently, receive data-products, but much less efficiently than if
it had connected to an LDM-6.
I suggest that you beat unmercifully on the LDM-user of host "ds1-avs"
until they switch to LDM-6. :-)
