If an LDM 5 system is running, then it means that the configuration
files (LDM, pqact) are probably OK. If an LDM 5 system isn't running,
then the installer has to pay more attention to those file to ensure
that they're OK.

If you give us the root password, you don't even have to be around.
Send it by phone, however (303-497-8648).

I wouldn't bother -- unless you want to. While it's nice to know that
the configuration files are correct, it isn't absolutely necessary --
providing that the LDM configuration (etc/ldmd.conf) shows all the relevant
feedtypes, patterns, and hosts.
