Carl,

The LDM releases prior to 6.0.3 have a bug in the ldmsend routines 
when trying to talk to another LDM 6.x host. This is fixed in 6.0.3, but
I don't know if it is the same problem you are seeing. I am keeping
our rtstats.unidata.ucar.edu host at LDM5.x until the sites out there
sending me stats will upgrade (when available).
