HI Adam, We were discussing your situation, and hypothesized that you must be running the binary build. Yes, we have seen issues with the binary build and certain versions of RH 7.x. We have found Solaris quite stable and have also found RH 7.x stable if built from source. Some 7.0 binary build resources may be uncompatible w/RH 7.1 or 7.2. So we suggest building the LDM from source, this way it will use the compiler that came with your RH dist AND you can upgrade to LDM 5.1.4 I think this is better than trying to de-bug the current version. Since you already have the LDM installed the upgrade is fairly quick. The instructions are at: http://unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/ldmSourceInstallList.html and then re-direct your runtime link to the current LDM version. Sorry for all the hassles, some OS's just behave better than others for the LDM. Thanks and keep us posted, -Jeff ____________________________ _____________________ Jeff Weber address@hidden Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 NWS-COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 ________________________________________ ______________________ On Tue, 30 Apr 2002, adam taylor (994) wrote: > Just wondering one thing.
