The reason for this is that there are no other products in the NOAAPORT datastream. The NWS has announced their intention to add additional products to the broadcast on _I think_ three different occasions. The last one that most folks seem to remember was the July notice that 11 additional products would be added to NOAAPORT by the end of September: NOUS40KWBC 131530 FOS/NOAAPORT NOTICE NO. 1955 JULY 13... 2001 ATTENTION FAMILY OF SERVICES SUBSCRIBERS/NOAAPORT USERS SUBJECT RADAR PRODUCTS TO BE ADDED TO NOAAPORT THIS IS A FOLLOW UP TO FOS/NOAAPORT NOTICE NO. 1905C DATED APRIL 2... 2001. BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER 2001... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PLANS TO ADD 11 NEW DOPPLER WEATHER SURVEILLANCE RADAR /WSR-88D/ PRODUCTS TO THE NOAAPORT SATELLITE BROADCAST. ... This was updated by a subsequent announcement: NOXX10KWBC 201841 DATA MGT MESSAGE 09-01.06 TO FAMILY OF SERVICES SUBSCRIBERS AND NOAAPORT USERS FROM DATA DISSEMINATION BRANCH SUBJECT RADAR PRODUCTS ADDITION TO NOAAPORT DELAYED THIS IS A FOLLOW UP TO FOS/NOAAPORT NOTICE NO. 1955C DATED JULY 13... 2001. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ADDITION OF 11 NEW DOPPLER WEATHER SURVEILLANCE RADAR /WSR-88D/ PRODUCTS TO THE NOAAPORT SATELLITE BROADCAST IS NOW PLANNED TO BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF NOVEMBER 2001. THE TWO MONTH DELAY FROM THE EARLIER ANNOUNCED END OF SEPTEMBER DATE IS DUE TO DELAYS IN THE NWS INSTALLATIONS OF THE PREREQUISITE SOFTWARE RELEASE AT ITS SITES. A FINAL NOTIFICATION GIVING THE EXACT DATE OF THE PLANNED PRODUCT ADDITIONS WILL BE ISSUED AT LEAST TEN DAYS IN ADVANCE. ... Notice that the new intention is to include the 11 new doppler products by the end of November, but that date can slip. The full text of the messages are available in the nws-changes archive at Unidata, or from: Systems Operations Center Change Notices http://205.156.54.206/cgi-bin/chg_show.pl?fn=NN090106.txt As soon as we get new information from NOAA, we will send it along to our users in our nws-changes email list.
