Ka Kit,

I talked to my sysadmin, he said he would be willing to install the
patches and to do the necessary configurations on halo to make it a
stable machine.  At this point, I need your approval for him to do the
work.  It will involve rebooting the machine a couple of times for the 
patches to take affect. If the work is done, then problems like
yesterday can be avoided. What do you think?


Currently halo is running on a scaled down mode, the old ldm files need
to be removed from the following directories:

~ldm/data/gempak/nwx            2
~ldm/data/gempak/hds            2
~ldm/data/gempak/nldn           2
~ldm/data/gempak/surface                2
~ldm/data/gempak/upperair       2
~ldm/data/gempak/mos            2
~ldm/data/gempak/storm          2
~ldm/data/gempak/logs           2
~ldm/data/gempak/profiler       2
~ldm/data/gempak/profiler_bufr  2

The disk space is not critical now, but it will be in a day.
