To install the LDM follow the LDM Preinstallation Check List , LDM Binary
Installation Check List, and Configuring the LDM Check List  instructions
at:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/index.html

It's also worth while to follow the LDM5 Workshop Presentation link, it
covers most aspects of the LDM.
