Hi Paul,

re: inability to build netCDF 3.6.1 on your MacOS-X machine

The indication from your 'configure' invocation is that your
C compiler is not working.  Can you/your system administrator check
the gcc install on your machine?

Also, can I get a login to your machine to poke around?  If yes, please
send the user name and password in a separate email WITHOUT reference
to the machine to which they apply to my private email, address@hidden.
And, in a different email, please send the fully qualified name of your
machine.
