At least we have this narrowed down to a problem with updating of SYSKEY.TAB. The first thing I would check is the file permissions on SYSKEY.TAB and ROUTE.SYS. They must both be readable AND writable by the user running the LDM and your 'mcidas' user. Is this the case? Can you change these values from your McIDAS-X session: SYSVAL CHANGE 2051 78 SYSVAL CHANGE 2052 200000 SYSVAL CHANGE 2053 2000018 This problem is unusual enough that I would be happy to logon to your system to see it first hand. If you want me to do this, I will need logins for the users 'mcidas' and the user running your LDM. Tom
