The latest ldm-mcidas decoders are available as binaries in the pub/binary/<os> directories of anonymous FTP on our FTP server, ftp.unidata.ucar.edu. If the DAY format listed out when you do an: MDL 71 (substitute the MD file number for your NLDN MD file) looks like 1999259 (substitute the current day), then your NLDN decoder is most likely up to date. If your date looks like 99259, then you need to get and install the new ldm-mcidas decoders. If you are going to do this on your Sun SPARC machine, and if you are running Solaris 2.7, then you would need to grab the file: user: anonymous pass: your_full_email_address machine: ftp.unidata.ucar.edu directory: pub/binary/sunos_5.7-sparc file: ldm-mcidas.tar.Z Make sure to get the file in binary mode!
